Submission: Receiving files from external sources is a critical process to many organizations. But if files are sent ad-hoc via email, standard FTP or physical media, they can go missing, with zero tracking or accountability. Adding FileCatalyst Workflow to your web presence gives you the ability to track not only delivery of these files, but their progress through your organization's workflow. Once the files are submitted, you can create an automatic workflow by launching a script or by taking advantage of the XML files that contain all the job, user and file information.

Distribution: Email attachments have size limitations, and other online services don't provide a high level of security and private tracking. Using FileCatalyst Workflow, users may send files of any size to anybody with an email address. The entire process is tracked within FileCatalyst Workflow, allowing users and administrators to see the status of the transfer task as it progresses.

Online File Sharing: For the users or group of users that require a web based collaboration space. FileCatalyst Workflow can also provide Online File Areas that can be tracked centrally. All the group folder data, is accessible via standard directory on your local disk. All the changes to Group Folders are tracked and group members can be automatically notified via email when the contents of their web folder changes.
